This tote handbag features a vintage ukiyo-e print and should you wish, you can have this tote to match with a matching tracksuit top in this Shin Hanga style.
Shin hanga style is Japanese woodblock printing that was inspired by European Impressionism (which itself had drawn from ukiyo-e), the artists incorporated Western elements such as the effects of light and the expression of individual moods, but focused on strictly traditional themes of landscapes (fukeiga), famous places (meishō), beautiful women (bijinga), kabuki actors (yakusha-e), and birds-and-flowers (kachō-e). This particular piece is by the artist Tsuchuiya Koitsu, (1870- 1949) one of the leading artists of the movement and is entilted "Lake Ashi In The Hakone Hills in Early Autumn"
