This gorgeous velvet rug features an art deco print of the classic movie Metropolis, from an original vintage poster held in a collection of artwork from The MET.
Your rug is beautifully handmade to order in our London Studio, using anti-slip latex eco sponge, jute rug binder and sultry Velvet Shimmer or luxurious Marbled Velvet fabric.
The warm, soft pile under your feet and the glistening surface of these rugs simply exude sophistication and charm. Metropolis, the1927 Fritz Lang masterpiece about a futuristic Robot, is printed using sublimation technology, where the ink is infused with the velvet fibres, meaning that this rug will never fade.
Curious about our options? our rugs are available in 6 sizes, and with cotton fringing and two types of velvet, Velvet Shimmer and Marbled Velvet. Our cotton fringe on both sides of your bespoke rugs adds a traditional aesthetic, while the straight edge option for custom rugs is ideal for contemporary spaces.
When you purchase one of our handmade rugs, they are printed and hand-stitched together, and when placed in your home, will give your home a look that radiates luxury.
We bind jute to the anti-slip rug sponge base of your custom printed rugs for added strength and structure, topping with the printed velvet design. the rug is then neatly hemmed, creating a distinct straight line. We hand sew the natural cotton fringe to both of the shorter edges, should you select one of these decorative options for your print on demand rugs.
If you ever need to transport your bespoke rugs, they can easily be rolled up, despite the structured jute layer. Details on personalised rugs are reproduced to a photo finish, with high-definition colours and expert fine lines.
Please note: Due to the production process, there is an odour which comes from the eco latex anti slip base / back of the customised rug. This is normal and will air out in a few days.
We also print and manufacture all our products on demand. This means your order is freshly made for you, without sitting around a warehouse for possibly years, ensuring that you get the most life out of your rug and with less waste going in landfills.
